Naming a Crisis

Taking Grief out of the shadows...

In April 2026, BC will mark 10 years since the government declared a public health emergency. More than 17,000 people have died from toxic drugs in that time. Our art installation uses audio and visual components to show the scale of the crisis. In a powerful tribute, the names of people killed in the toxic drug crisis will be projected in a large public space. While watching the names scroll past, people can hear the names and stories of people who have died.

This co-creative and interactive multimedia art installation illuminates the act of collective grief, taking this crisis and the grief that accompanies it out of the shadows.

It will premiere in April 2026 in Victoria, BC, Canada. More information to come.
